WHAT ARE THE ISSUES
The Queensland Local Government Reform Alliance Inc (QLGRA) operates at two levels in relation to advocacy, being;
- local government, supporting local community groups and individual to raise awareness and advocate for their local community, and
- state government, lobbying and supporting peak bodies, community groups and individuals in their reform endeavours and the pooling of knowledge and resources, to raise awareness of the statewide issues affecting all Queensland communities.
Your LG Area pages, are currently in development but ,will provided for your local government area;
- a quick snapshot of structure, operations and informative links,
- news updates,
- links to help you get connected into your local community groups, and
- resources and guides to help you take action on the issues in your local government area.
Your State page, are currently in development but, will provide a consolidation for the statewide issues with;
- a summary of the issue,
- links to more detailed information,
- the current initiatives underway in relation to reform,
- links to the peak bodies / groups / individuals and QLGRA Taskforce/s currently advocating or lobbying for reform,
- updates on the progression of advocacy and reform efforts,
- updates from media, and
- a place for you to have your say and play apart in bring about reform.
